General Information
Well of Mercy consists of two six-bedroom guest houses and two one-bedroom cottages located within close proximity to the Well House (main house). Each guesthouse has a small kitchen, dining and sitting area along with a private screened porch overlooking the woods and creek. The guesthouses join the main house by way of a spacious covered porch, dotted with rocking chairs and swings.
Each private guest room is comfortably appointed with its own bath and reclinable rocker. In room amenities include direct dial telephone and clock. Linens and blankets are provided. A room for those who are physically challenged is available upon request.
Well of Mercy is a SMOKE FREE facility. Please NO PETS.
Operating Hours
Well of Mercy is open from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Please call 704-539-5449 from 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday for reservations and information.
Day Guests/Visitors
Well of Mercy welcomes individuals the WELL, not only for overnight stays, but also for the day. All day guests and visitors must call in advance to schedule a visit.
Check in
Guests may arrive between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Check out
Guests are requested to vacate their room by 11:30 a.m. on the day of departure. Sunday check out and departure is 11:30 a.m.
Meals
Meals are a highlight at Well of Mercy! Lovingly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals are an important part of the WELL experience and are typically shared in community the Well House.
Individuals who are practicing silent retreat or those who prefer to take their meals “to go” are welcome to do so.
Our cooks can accommodate special dietary needs, if requested in advance at the time of reservation.
Communications
Individuals come to the Well of Mercy for various reasons. Most are in need of silence and solitude. Guests are urged to honor the individual needs of all.
In room phones require a phone card or calling card for long distance calls.
Some cell phone services work at Well of Mercy.
Computer access is not available.
Donations
Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1997, Well of Mercy is at your MERCY for its financial viability and continued service. As a non-profit organization Well depends 100% on the generosity of guests and friends. You are asked to prayerfully consider what your time spent at Well is was worth to you and make a “heart-felt” donation for your stay.
